Hi there, we are the Puryear family and we are so happy you stopped by to visit our website! Since you’re here we would love to tell you a little about ourselves and the farm we call home. Our little corner is in beautiful Greene County, TN.
We are nestled amongst rolling hills and wonderful neighbors we are blessed to call friends. Free-range chickens, ducks, rabbits, goats, a few barn kitties, a pony, and a pig live here on the farm and they all definitely keep us on our toes!
So what started this journey we are on? In 2007 we found out that our oldest son was lactose intolerant and from that knowledge, we bought our first dairy goats as a source of milk for our family. Over the years that followed it became our desire for our children to learn how to live sustainably off the land and treasure the privilege of caring for the resources God has given to us.
We want to give them the knowledge of growing their own food and how to make products that are used in daily life. In 2016, we started handcrafting lotion and soap made from our excess goat milk and from this Brambles Bend Farms was born. Our business is entirely ran by our family and we all have a part to play in making our products. Even the little ones can show appreciation and love to our goats with a hug around their furry necks.
Each batch of soap, lotion, body butter, etc. is made in small batches and we want to keep it that way. No mass-producing equipment here. Each bar of soap is hand cut, every lotion bottle hand filled, and every label is put on one by one. We are richly blessed to be able to give our children this way of life. To me, as their mama, this time of our life is priceless and precious. We want to pass these blessings on to you by giving you a glimpse of farm life and making available products that are made in the USA with lots of love and care.
